In Lech/Zug the two-person chairlift Zugerbergbahn says “goodbye” after 52 years and is replaced by a high-speed gondola lift for 10 persons of the most recent generation. Already during the ride you enjoy the dreamlike all-round view during the ski holidays at the Arlberg – panorama windows allow for a unique visibility of the surrounding mountainscape. With up to 6 metres per second, it takes you less than five minutes to get directly to the mountain and enjoy the 360° panorama on Balmalp – the mountain station and the gondola station are actually located underground, so that the landscape can be admired without restriction.

The new mountain station is connected underground to the Balmalp ski hut. In this way Balmalp is also accessible for guests without ski(wear). Thanks to the night riding permission it will in future also be possible to stage events and celebrations there.

With the new Zugerbergbahn an ultramodern and comfortable connection to the ski area has been created. It will certainly be appreciated by all skiers who have enjoyed, for instance the Madloch, the Zupert or another downhill run.

The Madloch chairlift, which has carried a very large number of guests already since 1967, will likewise be replaced by a high-speed chairlift for six persons with bubble and heated seats, and will in future transport more than 2,000 persons per hour.

The valley station of the new Madlochbahn is relocated and is now on the other side of Lake Zürs. This makes it much easier to reach the cable cars. Major investments have likewise been made for avalanche protection around the mountain station.

The new construction of the Madlochbahn is a quantum leap for the ski connection between Zürs and Lech as well as for the legendary ski runs White Ring and RUN of FAME.
